SVS is actively involved in the rehabilitation of child labourers and operates ten Child Labor Special Schools, accommodating 500 children across two districts in Bihar. This initiative is supported by the National Child Labour Project Committee in Patna and Saran.
The organization manages 15 schools across nine districts in Bihar. These schools cater to 1800 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 through a residential bridge course program, generously supported by the Bihar Education Project Council in Patna.
The organisation is committed to the rehabilitation of children and operates a children's home in Munger, Bihar. It has facilitated their capacity building through various training programs, including Martial Arts, Computer Literacy, Fine Arts, Printing, and more. -
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) is a noteworthy project supported by the Bihar Education Project Council in Patna. This initiative is being executed across six blocks in four districts, providing a residential educational environment exclusively for girls.
KGBV serves as a specialized school catering to girls aged 11 to 14+ years who, under normal circumstances, should have been attending regular schools but, for various reasons, dropped out. The primary goal of these schools is to ensure equitable access to quality education for girls from disadvantaged backgrounds by establishing residential institutions at the elementary level.
Currently, each KGBV hosts 100 girls from diverse backgrounds, including ST, SC, OBCs, minorities, and general classes. The school provides them with essential care and educational amenities, resulting in remarkable transformations in these children's lives within a short span of time. -

In addition to other endeavours, it operates a children's home in Munger with the support of the State Child Protection Society in Bihar. This facility serves as a refuge for children who have veered off the right path, been trafficked, rescued from child labor, or have fled their homes. These children are typically referred to us by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
The primary objective is to provide these children with a nurturing environment that fosters their life skills, offers quality education, ensures access to healthcare and sanitation, promotes mental and physical development through various activities and events, and provides vocational training.
More than a dozen children have successfully been reunited with their parents, while many others are currently thriving as they integrate into the mainstream community. -

The old age home in Patna was established with an intention: to provide continuous care and medical attention in a safe and hygienic environment. These homes serve senior citizens who are unable to reside with their families or face financial hardships. The residential medical facility serves multiple purposes, catering to the unique needs of the patients. The primary objective is to provide a homely and nurturing environment for elderly and bedridden patients, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

SVS has been dedicated to providing livelihood support and post-training arrangements to economically disadvantaged women, particularly those from the SC and ST communities in the underprivileged regions of Sahibganj, Dumka, and Pakur in Jharkhand.
SVS has positively impacted approximately 500 women, aiding them in increasing their household income. It has collaborated with women from SC and ST backgrounds to facilitate the development of marketable skills and sustainable livelihoods, particularly in silk yarn making. It has worked towards creating livelihood opportunities for Self-Help Group (SHG) members in Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura districts of Bihar, focusing on traditional trades. -

SVS has been diligently working to empower girls in various trades, with 1,135 girls from Araria, Lakhisarai, and Jahanabad benefiting from the HUNAR-iv program. This initiative is made possible through the support of the Bihar Board of Open Schooling and Examination (BBOSE), Patna.
It has also provided training to over a thousand unemployed youths in diverse trades such as computer applications, Tally packages, data entry, tailoring, embroidery, beautician courses, motor driving, repairing various agro-based equipment, and other marketable skills. This training has been conducted in collaboration with the Urban Development Department, Government of Bihar. -
Conservation of natural resources

SVS operates multiple programs dedicated to the conservation of water, forests, the environment, and biodiversity, including the preservation of natural heritage in various contexts. It has organized numerous workshops, rallies, debates, and seminars on various issues to raise awareness and mobilize communities for the conservation of natural resources.
In addition to these efforts, the organization has undertaken programs focused on water conservation and storage. It has constructed and renovated Aahar, wells, tanks, and check dams in the districts of Jharkhand and Bihar, with support from MESO, Jharkhand, and CAPART, Patna. These initiatives have proven highly beneficial to thousands of people by enhancing groundwater storage and recharge and providing comprehensive irrigation solutions to small and marginal farmers.
SVS is currently engaged in a program in 74 villages of Pakur district, Jharkhand, under the Integrated Watershed Management Program (IWMP). -

SVS has consistently worked towards empowering women through their self-driven initiatives. It has implemented a series of programs aimed at enhancing their self-identification.
Furthermore, in the pursuit of women's awareness, education, and empowerment, SVS has executed significant initiatives in 10 villages within Sahibganj district, Jharkhand. These efforts include forming women's groups, providing vocational training, and promoting silk yarn production with support from the prototype scheme under I.T.D.A (MESO), Sahibganj, Jharkhand. -

The organization has consistently strived to raise awareness and mobilize the community on various pressing issues, with a particular focus on the welfare of women and children. To this end, it has organized numerous campaigns through meetings, rallies, workshops, and seminars. These campaigns have addressed critical topics such as reproductive health, family planning, female feticide, trafficking, malnutrition, right to education, child protection, and health-related issues.
During parliamentary and assembly elections in Bihar and Jharkhand, it launched mass awareness programs to promote democratic reforms. These initiatives resulted in the direct sensitization of over 12,000 individuals and indirect outreach to approximately 200,000 people in various regions of both states.
