Employment training
Employment significantly contributes to national development, and securing a job has become increasingly competitive due to continuous technological advancements. Bridging the disparity between theoretical knowledge and industry demands can be achieved through proper training and skill development. Agam Foundation conducts regular training programs for unemployed professionals, aiming to align their skills with industry requirements.
-
Medical awareness camps
In modern times, many individuals lack awareness of prevalent diseases. Agam Foundation consistently arranges awareness camps to educate the public about the diseases, their causes, and potential remedies. This initiative aims to enhance people's understanding of the nature of diseases and enable early identification. Early detection allows for easier and more cost-effective disease treatment.
-
Prisoners' rehabilitation
Individuals confined within prison walls are not devoid of humanity; they, too, possess the same human rights as those outside. Many prisoners engage in criminal activities due to tough circumstances. After their sentence is served, their lives often become challenging, and societal acceptance is elusive. To address this, Agam Foundation has established a rehabilitation centre for ex-prisoners to embark on a fresh start after completing their punishment. This program includes motivational and employment training to empower them to stand on their own feet.
-
Tribal welfare
Regrettably, tribal communities find themselves at the bottom rung of the societal structure, often neglected and overlooked. Statistics reveal that approximately 70% of Indians reside in rural areas, yet these individuals receive minimal or no support from local, state, and national authorities. Struggling with a lack of fundamental amenities such as proper housing, sanitation, education, and healthcare, their economic growth remains stunted. These marginalized groups, resigned to their fate, have no one to turn to for assistance.
Despite various governmental initiatives aimed at addressing these issues, they have proven inaccessible to the community.
The Agam Foundation is undertaking multiple projects dedicated to tribal welfare, seeking to alleviate their plight and bring them out of the shadows of poverty and ignorance.
