Since 2012, the Nivethan Trust has supported over 150 determined and promising students hailing from Madurai, Dindigul, Hospet (Karnataka), and Dhamnagar (Orissa) for their higher education post 10th standard. These students have demonstrated exceptional results in their public exams, displaying remarkable commitment and effort toward achieving their educational goals. Their continuation of studies has been made possible solely through the scholarships provided, given their economically challenged family backgrounds.
However, the Nurture Merit initiative goes beyond mere financial assistance. It involves comprehensive guidance and counselling for these students throughout their higher education journey, assisting them until they attain their ultimate objective of graduation and employment. Additionally, specialized skill training is imparted to equip them with the necessary tools to navigate the job market and other post-study challenges.

The Nivethan Trust extends support to 65 children grappling with Thalassemia and their economically disadvantaged families in Madurai. The organisation’s efforts encompass several key initiatives:
    • Identification of patients and dissemination of crucial information.
    • Facilitation of expert guidance and counselling.
    • Provision of blood units for essential transfusions.
    • Supply of necessary medication.
    • Facilitation and support for Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT).
    • Screening of 'carriers' to prevent Thalassemia.
    • Conducting awareness projects to educate the public about the disorder.
Despite the severity of Thalassemia, public awareness regarding this condition remains alarmingly low. The primary step involves identifying patients and educating them and their families about the disease's significance, alongside outlining necessary measures for the child's well-being.
