In 2017, the Ray of Light Foundation established a state-of-the-art Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) unit at Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS' Trust Hospital (KKCTH), equipped with an advanced air handling unit for patient safety. The foundation also donated three positive pressure and one negative pressure isolation rooms for the ICU, with the total setup costing approximately Rs. 1.3 crores. Inaugurated by cancer survivors on September 22, 2016, the unit has since successfully conducted 10 bone marrow transplants.

The Ray of Light Foundation has partnered with the renowned Adyar Cancer Institute to address this need by providing trained pediatric intensivists for the care of critically ill cancer patients. This collaboration ensures that these children receive the specialized support required during their treatment.
