KSRI is a non-profit, voluntary, public, and registered society that operates within the revered grounds of the prestigious Sanskrit College campus in Read more Chennai's Mylapore neighbourhood. (previously Madras). Since its establishment in 1945, the Sanskrit Sangha Research Institute (KSRI) has gained recognition for providing specialised knowledge and expert support to preserve Sanskrit and related Indology research comprehensively. This involves establishing, institutionalising, propagating, consolidating, and creating perpetuity of the great Sanskrit heritage and advancing public awareness of Sanskrit and related Indology research. An esteemed lineage of distinguished Sanskrit and Indological scholars has embellished the Institution in several roles. Their altruistic leadership secured the institution's continued widespread recognition and reputation in India and elsewhere. In its field of expertise, KSRI enjoys widespread recognition both in India and globally. KSRI maintains affiliations with numerous Indian and foreign academic institutions, including the esteemed University of Madras.
